Saturday, October 26, Carmichael residents and businesses will be gathering together between 8 to 11 am to spruce up their properties as part of the first annual “Take Pride in Carmichael Day.”The event will run simultaneously with the Fair Oaks Boulevard Brush-Up where volunteers pick up litter along Carmichael’s main street. Participants have the option of working on their own property or can meet at Carmichael Park by the tennis courts at 8 am to be assigned to a project, This united community effort has a wide range of support from neighborhood groups, service clubs, organizations and government including the Barrett Hills Neighborhood Association, Carmichael Colony Neighborhood Association, Carmichael Creek Neighborhood Association, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Elks, Kiwanis, Rotary, Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, Carmichael Recreation and Park District, Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District, and Sacramento County. Please consider helping for a few hours that morning. For more information, please call the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce at 481-1002.
