San Juan School Safety Alert

SAN JUAN SAFE SCHOOLS SAFETY ALERT SYSTEM BULLETIN
This alert is part of the on-going effort to keep you informed of events related to safety on
SJUSD school campuses.
Bulletin # 130829-01 Incident
Date/Time:  8/29/13 between 6:50 A.M.-7:00 A.M.
Location of Incident: Greenback Lane
Type Incident Child Annoyance
Synopsis of Incident:
A 14-year old San Juan High School student reported she was approached by
an unknown male in a vehicle as she was walking to school this morning,
Thursday, August 29, 2013 between 0630h-0700h (6:30 A.M.-7:00 A.M.). The
man drove up behind the student and asked her to get into his vehicle. When
she declined, he got out of his car and proceeded to touch her leg while making
inappropriate comments to her. The student ran to school where she reported
the incident to staff on campus. The Citrus Heights Police Department was
made aware of the incident and took a report. CH13-7454.
Suspect Information :
Caucasian male with Indian accent, late 20’s to early 30’s with black curly
hair wearing a white shirt and long pants.
Suspect Vehicle:
Small gray 4-door SUV. No license plate number provided.

Date/Time 5/14/13 at approximately
1600h (4:00 P.M.)
Location of Incident
Barrett Road near Winding Way
Type Incident Suspicious Activity
Synopsis of Incident
A 13-year old Barrett student reported she was followed by an unknown man
in a vehicle while walking home with her older sister yesterday afternoon,
Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at approximately 1600h (4:00 P.M.). The man did not
make any comments to the girls and reportedly followed them for a short
distance down Barrett Road before turning and parking on a side street. The
student and her sister ran to a nearby residence and reported the activity. The
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department was made aware of the incident.
Suspect Information:  Hispanic male adult, late 20’s to early 30’s wearing a gray beanie.
Suspect Vehicle:  Old, rusted, brown Toyota. No license plate number obtained.

Bulletin # 130207-01 Incident
Date/Time 2/7/2013 at approximately 6:30 A.M.
Location of Incident: Lincoln Avenue
Type Incident Suspicious Activity
Synopsis of Incident:
It was reported that four Barrett students ranging in ages from 11-13 were
followed by a man in a vehicle as they were on their way to school Thursday,
February 07, 2013 at approximately 6:30 A.M. The students reported
the man drove past them three times on Lincoln Avenue at a low rate of speed
before they ran to a nearby house and called law enforcement. The man did
not make any comments to the students. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s
Department responded and took a report.
Suspect Information :
Caucasian male, medium build to heavyset, in his 40’s or 50’s with short gray
hair.
Suspect Vehicle: White van with tinted windows. No license plate number obtained.

Location of Incident
Barrett Road and Lincoln Avenue
Type Incident Suspicious Activity
Synopsis of Incident
An 11-year old male Barrett student reported he was followed by a man on his
way home from school yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at
approximately 3:08 P.M. The student noticed the man in his vehicle
on Barrett Road, where he began following him. The student continued
walking on Lincoln Avenue toward Miles Road. When the student crossed the
street and began running, the man left. Incident is awaiting follow up by law
enforcement.
Suspect Information:
Caucasian male adult in his 50’s, approximately 5’8” with gray hair and a dog
in the back of his vehicle.
Suspect Vehicle: Black truck with scratches on it.
