Call out for a Ranger Way street coordinator! Increase of incidents in area.

Greetings all!

Ranger Way has had a serious of reported incidents recently that are definitely cause for concern, and are an important sign that a neighborhood watch group would make a major difference on this street. Please share this open request with anyone you know who lives on Ranger Way and let them know the serious benefits to starting a neighborhood watch group, the great connections and increase in safety felt by those who have one and utilize it, and what a difference it makes to know that you are not alone. Let's do our best to network among our neighbors and help them out; let's find a street coordinator for Ranger Way!

Here are some of the incidents reported in the last three weeks:

9/18 at 1140 am,  Assistance needed for Apts on Rampart/Ranger for a fire

9/17  Ranger Wy Crime Scene Investigator for assault with a deadly weapon to two victims.
9/17  Ranger Wy.  Elderly female on line says that an intruder outside her house was throwing bricks at her windows.  Subject acting crazy..
Passerby’s on Onyx/Rampart said that the male is very crazy.  Unit responded at 642pm  and saw subject at Rampart/Marble and detained him.  Arrest made. Subject  caused damaged to house and car.  Suspect not known to victim.  Felony arrest. 

9/9  Ranger/ Rampart
Caller said that older male sitting on the corner, gry hair, lrg mustache, white shirt, tan shorts, has a clipboard and a cat.  Possible matches a desc of a subj who has been going into backyard looking people's houses.  

9/4  Ranger Wy.  Suspicous vehicle next to Jan Park.  Ford Ecoline Unoccupied RV/ Pad lock on outside of door.   1st call, vehicle was cited as it was parked on the curb.  Not occupied.  2ndcall, still all quiet, lights out, no answer after several attempts.  Deputy told caller that vehicle is legally parked and checked clear.  If vehicle is unmoved in 72 hrs, that it is citable at that time.

Remember to report all suspicious behavior and crimes in progress immediately to the sheriff's department. Contact your street coordinator after you have reported, so that we can share with the neighbors information to help everyone stay more alert and safe.
