OLD AGENDAS AND NOTES

Please join us for our very first Meet and Greet Meeting on October 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  at 4329 Jan Drive, home of Juliana and Greg Masters. Bring a chair and be prepared to take a few notes on how to make our neighborhood safer and more secure, while eating a bite and meeting neighbors!

As a side note, we are working on developing how to handle the Park Watch aspect to this group, and are hoping to gain a Park Watch section on the Salmaan side of the park as well.

Update: Meet and Greet Minutes    10/28/2012

refreshments served

Juliana Masters led the meeting, opening at 10:05 a.m.
- Review of handouts, including participation handbook
- Shared a Things To Be Aware Of discussion, borrowed from West Fair Oaks Neighborhood Watch, including reminders for the holiday season
- Introduced all members to each other
- Discussed Park Watch Program and responsibilities generally designated to those who live adjacent or across from a park within a neighborhood.

  • Concerns mentioned about dogs off leash
  • Concerns regarding if rangers will really respond to neighbor calls
  • Communicated need to keep accurate, detailed records of suspicious behavior observed at park
  • Reminder that park is closed after dark
- Asked neighbors to share incidents on blog, reminded everyone to report their own observed issues in the neighborhood and only report via email to coordinators after.

Carmen will be sending an email with blog address, change of email for Harriet, and reminder of date for Sheriffs meeting at Del Campo.

- Next meeting suggested to be after the holidays. General group agrees to meet every quarter unless emergency need occurs.

Meeting adjourned at 11:38 a.m.

CONGRATS!!!

All 4 signs went in on Sunday October 28th! Thank you Som, Greg, and Matt!

UPDATE: Park Watch Signs Are Up!

After a number of attempts to get the right signs sent to us from the vendor, we finally received all four Park Watch signs and had them installed in December. Many thanks to Rick, Matt, and Som for getting those taken care of for us!
